Simply put, Galxe OATs (on-chain achievement tokens) are a digital record of all of your life's accomplishments.

What Can Galxey OAT Be Used For?

Event organisers can create their own dedicated pages on galxe.com, events, and credentials simply by submitting the parameters and badge design.
Users or event attendees will be able to claim their NFTs via email and a gas-free minting experience.
OAT is currently only available in ERC-721 on Polygon and will have native support for OpenSea and the majority of wallet apps.
All OAT NFT metadata will be stored on NFT.Storage, which is powered by IPFS and Filecoin.

What is a Galxean passport, exactly?
Galxe Passport is your Web3 adventure's universal identity. It securely and anonymously stores your identity information. For compliance purposes, you will be able to use this as your universal identity across multiple applications. You will also receive your unique Galxe Passport Soulbound Token in your wallet, allowing you to be identified as a verified individual. Providing our partners with the ability to prevent Sybil attacks.
Galxe Passport was designed to provide users with a safe and private way to store data. The private information of users will be encrypted using their password. These data are only accessible to the user; everyone else (including Galxe) can access them only with the user's permission. Users can obtain a Soulbound Token by completing the Galxe verification process, which will then allow them to mint and claim the Galxe Passport Token.
The GAL Token
Galxe's vision is to create a permissionless, open, and collaborative credential data network. The GAL token is an essential component of such infrastructures because it serves as the governance token, incentivizes user participation, and is the Galxe ecosystem's primary payment token. GAL's utilities are as follows:
Governance: GAL is used in the Galxe DAO for voting and governance. GAL token holders can influence the amount of the platform fee collected by the protocol as well as the funds held by the Galxe Community Treasury.
Paying the Application Module Fee: Developers who want to use Galxe's credential data through Application Modules will be charged a Platform Fee in GAL. The platform fee is set up so that every interaction with the Galxe Protocol costs GAL. The curators will receive the majority of the fee, with the remainder going to the Galxe Community Treasury. During beta testing, all application module fees are currently waived.
Developers pay GAL to query our credential data using the Galxe Oracle Engine and the Galxe Credential API. During beta testing, all query fees are currently waived.
Curating Digital Credentials: Curators can use the GAL token to signal the value of a credential data set. Each credential data set will include a revenue stream that will be divided pro rata among credential stakeholder companies. Curators can buy stakes in a credential data set by following the bonding curve. Because of the bonding curve's nature (the price of a credential stake increases as more users purchase it), if a curator purchases the credential stake of a popular data set early, the cost of a credential stake will be low, resulting in a relatively high future revenue stream. When the price of the credential stake rises along the bonding curve, the curators can choose to sell them back to the bonding curve in exchange for GAL. As a result, curators are incentivized to assist in the identification of valuable credential data sets by exchanging GAL for credential stakes via the bonding curves. In the long run, the more credential data in the network, the more GAL will be locked in data signalling bonding curves. The curation system is currently under construction.

The total supply of GAL tokens is 200,000,000. The distribution of these tokens is detailed below.

GAL Airdrop for Contributors to the Ecosystem
The remaining GAL from the Early Adopters Reward Allocation will be used to recognise long-term contributors to the Galxe ecosystem:
A total of 63,100 GAL tokens will be distributed to Discord community members with the Galxe Brains and Galxe Pathfinders roles.
Steven Lei, a long-time Galxe contributor and Galxe Brain, will receive 5,000 GAL for creating the Galxe Explorer, which helped so many astronauts explore Web3 through Galxe's campaigns.
In the Space Expedition Program, Pisces NFT holders will receive a total of 200,000 GAL.
In addition, 79,000 GAL tokens will be distributed directly to 100 partners who have grown alongside Galxe.
Users from the United States, Canada, China, Iran, Korea (North), Syria Arab Republic, and Cuba will be unable to claim the airdrop due to legal restrictions.
