Ukraine is reportedly receiving extensive financial support
in bitcoin as the Russian occupation continues. Cryptocurrency observers say $
9 million worth of Bitcoin aid has so far been received from unknown sources in
Ukraine. According to Elliptic, a blockchain analyst, the Ukrainian government,
NGOs and NGOs have been advertising their bitcoin wallets online. Ukraine has
so far received about 4,000 contributions in bitcoins. The average donation
received so far is $ 95. Analysts say they have received up to $ 3 million in
anonymous donations. Less than four hours after the two wallets' addresses were
released, Ukraine received $ 3.3 million in aid. The BBC points out that in
recent times war cryptocurrency contributions have become a regular occurrence
in other parts of the world where conflict exists.
